Fans are shocked by rumors about the Survivor contestant Roger Sexton’s cause of death after he passed away at the end of October and the news was released on November 10, 2022, at the age of 76.

His family members confirmed the heartbreaking news Thursday announcing that Roger Sexton took his last breath in late October at his daughter and son-in-law’s house in Walla Walla, Washington, while his family was by his side.

The star appeared on season six of Survivor way back in 2003, which was filmed in Brazil around the Amazon River. Sexton’s season of Survivor originally had the men and women split into competing tribes, and he grew in the ranks to guide the men’s team before the groups were finally joined when only ten competitors remained.

Sexton survived an amazing 21 days in the Amazon out of the show’s 39 days, though he was voted off the show when the women’s team persuaded multiple of the male competitors to vote against him.

Roger Sexton’s obituary says that he was born in Oakland, California, and grew up in the Bay Area before enrolling in the Marines and operating in Vietnam from 1966 to 1967. Now we remember him as a retired Marine.

His obituary also added his passing follows “a valiant and courageous battle with Lewy Body Dementia “ — the 2nd most typical form of the disease, after Alzheimer’s.

He was a fan of the great outdoors and had a desire for hiking, skiing, and biking in nature. Tragically, his daughter Heather passed away in 1992 at just the age of 16 from viral pneumonia.

Late Roger leaves behind his wife Diane, his daughter Amy and her husband Brian Evensen, his grandchildren Drew and Hadley Evensen, and his sisters Pamela Mills and Patricia Markowitz.
