Star Wars Actor Paul Grant’s Death Following Collapsing at 56 — US day News
Paul Grant’s cause of death raised many questions after it was announced that the Star Wars and Harry Potter actor passed away on March 16, 2023, at the age of 56.
The talented actor was found collapsed outside King’s Cross station in London last Thursday afternoon. Paul was pronounced dead at 3.49 am but had been declared brain dead before that following his collapse.
A London Ambulance Service spokesperson said: “We were called at 2.08 pm on Thursday 16 March to reports of an incident at St Pancras Station, Euston Road.
“We sent an ambulance crew and a medic in a response car. We treated a man at the scene and took him to hospital as a priority.”
His daughter, Sophie Jayne Grant, confirmed the heartbreaking news, saying: “I’m heartbroken… No girl deserves their dad to be taken away… He was so well known and loved [for his work]. He’s gone too soon.”
As well as Star Wars and Harry Potter, the star also starred in the 1988 film Willow and the cult classic Labyrinth alongside David Bowie in 1986.

Paul Grant’s cause of death has not been disclosed yet. He was pronounced dead at 3.49 am this morning (March 16) after a lengthy battle with drug and alcohol addiction.
The ‘ Harry Potter ‘ actor is survived by his girlfriend Maria, his two daughters and one son as well as his stepchildren and grandchildren. He was found outside King’s Cross station in north London on Thursday afternoon.
Grant played an Ewok in Return of the Jedi and a goblin in Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. He starred as one of the Goblin Corps in the cult 1986 classic Labyrinth alongside Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie.
The actor served as the stunt double in Labyrinth for Hoggle, who was voiced by Brian Henson and performed by Shari Weiser. His other movie credits include Legend, the 1985 Tom Cruise film, and the 1988 film Willow.
After the sad news of Paul Grant’s death was revealed, his friends and fans quickly flooded social media with tribute messages. Many fans also took to Twitter to pay poignant tributes to him.
Dwyer paid a touching tribute to the actor, saying: “Paul was the love of my life. The funniest man I know. He made my life complete. Life is never going to be the same without him.”
His stepdaughter Stacey has set up a Go Fund Me page to raise funds for his funeral. She said: “I’m starting this page as Paul sadly passed away yesterday and I would like to give him the best send off he would want.”
