Russ Kick was the founder of “ The Memory Hole,” which archived sensitive and difficult-to-find official documents. Russ has devoted much of his life to digging up what others tried to keep hidden.
Russ Kick was living and working in Nashville, Tennessee, and Tucson, Arizona. His bestselling collections, such as “You Are Being Lied To” and “ Everything You Know Is Wrong,” have been sold almost three million copies.

There is no confirmation through Russ Kick’s death cause, but his death news was revealed by National Security Counselors, writing: “#FOIA hero Russ Kick @thememoryhole2 passed away recently. Russ was a pioneer in FOIA and govt transparency in general, as well as being an accomplished comics artist responsible for these amazing works. He will be sorely missed.”
Russ Kick has been entitled to many names by different magazines and newspapers, including:
- “an information archaeologist,”
- “a Renaissance man,”
- “50 Visionaries Who Are Changing Your World.”
Russ was also editor-at-large for The Disinformation Company. He was recently editing an anthology of classic and contemporary poems about death for Disinformation and Red Wheel/Weiser.
