Hilary Tisch passed away in the hospital as her family is left distraught and heartbroken. Steve, son of former Giants owner BobTisch, explained in a statement that Hilary battled depression for several years before her suicide.

“Hilary was a kind, caring and beautiful person,” Steve Tisch stated regretfully in the statement after confirming Hilary Tisch’s suicide Monday. “Her mother, sisters, brothers, and I are devastated by her passing. It leaves a hole in our hearts and our lives.”

Reactions to Hilary Tisch’s suicide

“She, like so many others, bravely fought the disease of depression for as long as she could,” Steve Tisch continued. “We love and will miss her dearly. Our family is utterly heartbroken and is mourning its tragic loss. We ask for privacy during this very difficult time.”

She was a jewelry designer, gemologist, and one of the founding partners of Doen, a Los Angeles-based brand. In her biography for the company, the creative consultant announced that she split her time between LA and Aspen, Colorado, with her dog Pearl.

Giants co-owner John Mara reacted to the Hilary Tisch’s suicide in a statement.

He said: “On behalf of the Mara family and the rest of the Giants organization, I want to express our deepest sympathy to Steve and his family. Our hearts are heavy for their loss of Hilary. We pray for their peace and comfort.”

Another Hilary Tisch passions

Hilary Tisch’s volunteer work with Operation Smile also reflects her beautiful heart.

The organization donates surgeries for children and young adults born with cleft palates and cleft lips.

“I currently live between Los Angeles and Aspen with my dog Pearl,” she told on the site’s biography page. “My first real love is antique jewelry and also I do work as a gemologist. My other passion is discovering and collecting vintage furniture, objects, and beautiful clothing both old and new.”

Besides her father Steve, Hilary Tisch who born on Nov. 1, 1983, survived by mother Patsy and her siblings Will Tisch and his wife Grace, Elizabeth Tisch, Holden Tisch, and Zachary Tisch.
