Now, the drive-in concert film is coming to Adventureland!

Metallica fans will meet on August 29 when the metal legends perform their first show of 2020 via a drive-in concert film. This will be screened at Adventureland in East Farmingdale as well as hundreds of drive-in theaters across the country, presented by Encore Live.

“In all of rock, it literally doesn’t get any bigger than Metallica,” stated Walter Kinzie, CEO of Encore Live.

“Over the course of their career, these guys have completely redefined rock, touring, and frankly what’s possible in terms of success in this industry. We’ve seen with our first two Encore Nights Drive-In concerts that fans absolutely dig the drive-in experience and we know that Metallica is going to blow the top off of this thing and take it to a whole new level.”

If you want to watch and hear Metallica with strings, the group’s latest cooperation with the San Francisco Symphony, the live album/documentary “S&M2,” will be released for home entertainment on August 28.

Moreover, if you want to experience Metallica with horns — car horns, that is — the band will be arriving at drive-ins with a one-night-only concert film.

Metallica has established its curtain call on the stage for the first time since the September 2019 S&M2 concerts that started Chase Center in San Francisco.

Metallica will be the first rock band to be starred in the Encore Drive-In Nights series, with a full set showing at hundreds of drive-in and outdoor theaters across the United States and Canada.

The show will be shot particularly for the Encore Drive-In Nights Series at a spot close to the band’s Northern California headquarters and will consequently be edited and mixed by Metallica’s award-winning production team to the greatest standards possible.

The Metallica’s drive-in concert, the band’s first show in nearly a year, will feature material from during their nearly four-decade career and present Metallica fans with a special, unprecedented, and truly unforgettable concert experience.
