American stand-up comedian has checked into rehab for 60 days toward alcohol and cocaine addiction.
A source notably confirmed that the “Saturday Night Live” alum Mulaney, 38, has checked into a Pennsylvania rehab department this previous weekend.
The golden boy of comedy has been open about his former struggles with sobriety, revealing his partying and prescription stories and banned drug abuse from a young age.
Mulaney first became sober at the age of 23.
A source stated, “John’s friends and family are happy that he’s finally getting some help and focusing on his health.”

In an interview last year, Comedian John Mulaney revealed he started drinking at the age of 13. “I drank for attention,” the man replied. “I was really outgoing, and then at 12, I wasn’t. I didn’t know how to act. And then I was drinking, and I was hilarious again.”
Mulaney’s drinking also prompted him to start using drugs, revealing in an Esquire cover story. The 38-year old comedian says that he “loved” cocaine and puttered with prescription drugs while he never liked smoking pot.

Comedian Mulaney said that he wasn’t a good athlete, so perhaps it was some young male matter of “This is the physical feat I can do. Three Vicodin and a tequila and I’m still standing.”
Mulaney looks okay with his 60-days-rehab. “Who’s the athlete now?” he said.
When John Mulaney was a teenager, his parents granted him to a psychiatrist, who advised him that he was one part friendly kid, one part is “gorilla that wants to kill the other half.”
“I don’t drink. I used to drink, then I drank too much, and I had to stop. That surprises a lot of audiences, because I don’t look like someone who used to do anything.” John Mulaney stated in his 2012 special New in Town.
The tipping point after ages of blacking out and even drinking perfume was a 2005 bender while he was 23 years old.
Mulaney, who was SNL’s staff writer, has been observed hanging out with his fellow comedian Pete Davidson, declaring that one of his goals has been to show Pete that people can have a life in comedy that is not crazy — a sober, domestic life.
However, earlier this month, Mulaney revealed he had accepted a role as a staff author on Seth Meyers’ show for his mental health. He hosted SNL for the fourth time in October and, following revealed the Secret Service over a joke had reviewed him.
